Our Experience
Britt Schanel, Founder and Director of CBC Fitness Consulting, earned her certification
as a Personal Trainer from the American Council of Exercise in 1998. Over the course
of eight years of working with diverse clients, she has created programs for people
engaging in exercise for the first time, people rehabilitating after an injury,
and athletes training for events or sports. Adding a powerful dimension to her expertise
in 2001, Britt earned her certification as a Stott Pilates Instructor, completing
both Matwork and Reformer certifications. Combining her more than eight years experience
with clients one-on-one and in group settings with a post-baccalaureate education
in Human Anatomy and Physiology and Exercise Physiology, Britt brings a knowledgeable,
educated, and skilled approach to exercise and training.
As evidenced by her roster of committed students and clients, Britt brings passion,
energy, and a lot of fun to her work as a fitness professional. She is lauded for
her ability to translate exercise physiology and anatomy into terms her students
can understand and teach them to apply those to their workouts and daily lives.
Many of her clients and students have been with her for more than 7 years. Clients
often refer their spouses, friends, coworkers, and children to CBC Fitness Consulting.
70% of her clients have been working with Britt for more than four years and more
than half of them for more than six!
CBC Fitness Consulting is building experience working with groups of athletes to
develop their skills. Specifically, Britt is currently working with Wasabi Team
SOAR, a breast cancer survivor dragon boat team, to design a Fitness Challenge intended
to reach breast cancer survivors and minorities. She has taught Pilates for golfers
and is researching Pilates for Equestrians.
